Museum of Industrie
There is a long metal working and steel production tradition and history in the city Brandenburg. Since 1914 they have made steel. Today you can see the last Siemens-Martin-Furnace of Western Europe in the closed steelwork. There were once 12 of them to produce steel in Brandenburg.
Some of the museum guides are former steel workmen. They give you a first hand insight into the working and living conditions at the steelwork. Furthermore you can see and touch old tools, locomotives and cranes. Inside the museum building exhibitions and movie screenings illustrate the history of 100 years steel production in Brandenburg.
