Museum of Inland Navigation
Oderberg was characterized by skippers, rafts men, timber trade and skip building. Today the Museum of Inland Navigation tells their history. The museum is placed next to the water. “Riesa”, a paddle steamer built about 1897 will lead your way. Old rowing boots and other types of ships decorate the Museum's garden. See and learn about the region and its history from stone age till Late Middle Ages and also about the history of waterways and building sewers in the area of the river Oder.
Dioramas and marvelous model ships show the former timber industry, the shipyard and the inland navigation in all details.
