Museum of Radio Electronics/Technology

In September 2009 Königs Wusterhausen got the name “city of radio”. It expresses the close relation between Königs Wusterhausen and the development of radio in Germany. On 22^th December 1920 there was the first broadcast of speech and music in the form of a little Christmas concert. The radio was born. Thats why Königs Wusterhausen is also called “cradle of radio”. Since that time the “Funkerberg” in Königs Wusterhausen was on air for 70 years till 1992.
